After a long delay broadband has finally arrived at the Subterranean HQ- my promised modem and wireless router are still en route apparently but I'm not too bothered; turns out the estimated 1Mbps speed I was due to get was a tad on the conservative side. I'm actually getting 3Mps and over. Not bad considering I'm so far from the exchange.
Regardless, the nightmare that was dial-up is finally over and I can now actually view web pages without having to click "refresh" several times. And my email doesn't take ten minutes to download. All that remains now is for me to catch up on what's going on in the world and to start ranting about it once more.
