Smart Diplomacy

Barack Obama seems to be stuck in some kind of permanent adolescence if his gifts to foreign dignitaries is anything to go by. First of all he gives British PM Gordon Brown a box set of DVDs and then- having learned nothing from the episode- he gives the Queen- the Queen!- an iPod.

And to cap it all off he had audio of himself giving speeches added to it. Oh yeah, and pictures of himself at his inauguration.

A colossal ego attached to a teenager's view of international diplomacy. Good grief, it's like he's a high school class president, not the man in charge of the most powerful nation on Earth.

And that's not even touching on the fact that he's such a cheapskate.

To think that people used to complain about George Bush...
