Who the hell is Maximus? Is the character that cunt Crowe played in Gladiator? I've not seen it. I can't stand even looking at the man.
Yeah, that sounds about right- I actually quite liked him in that. Shame his "real" persona has overshadowed his acting since then.
I was able to watch him up to Romper Stomper and LA Confidential but, as you said, his real life persona became too newsworthy when he was in his prime (which I like to think is over) and meant I couldn't watch him act without thinking of what an arse he seems to be.
