UK Gun Control

Unlike the US, Britain didn't have a huge number of gun owners or guns in private hands when the government exacted the last round of gun control legislation, banning handguns and all semi-auto rifles. Machine guns have been banned for considerably longer than that.

Despite this, and that it's a small island, gun crime in the UK isn't going away.

A man shot dead outside a nightclub as he talked to friends was the target of a gangster-style 'execution'.

The 35-year-old was hit at least three times in the head and neck at close range by a man who calmly produced a machine gun from the boot of his car outside Club Red in Limehouse.

Apparently it needs to be repeated- gun control laws aren't obeyed by criminals.
