Sir Nigel makes some unflattering comments about Mr Obama's Iran policies and expresses concern about the senator's protectionist trade policy.
He warned that his stance towards the Middle Eastern country could conflict with the United Nations Security Council's demands that the country stop enriching uranium before negotiations resume.
He adds that Mr Obama 'can seem to sit on the fence, assiduously balancing pros and cons' and that he has 'a highly educated and upper middle class mindset'.
The ambassador also describes the Democrat candidate as 'aloof and insensitive' and said 'he can talk too dispassionately for a national campaign about issues which touch people personally, eg his notorious San Francisco comments about small-town Pennsylvanians "clinging to guns and religion"'.
And with that the balance is restored!
