Grenade Camera

Defense Tech has a report on a grenade sized recconaisance device.

Grunts just fire the disposable "ballistic cameras" from "standard-issue M203 grenade launchers attached to M16 or other assault rifles," and then wait for the pictures to come back, 8 seconds and 600 meters later.

Giving this sort of intelligence ability to individual soldiers looks like it could be a boon on the battlefield. My first impression was that this could be very useful when moving against an enemy sniper team or suspected ambush. Being able to ping the enemy without exposing the soldier to fire has got to be good.
