More Beheadings

The misunderstanders of Islam in Iraq are continuing their bloody business.

INSURGENTS have signalled that the fight is still on after Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's death, posting an internet video showing the beheading of three alleged Shiite death squad members in revenge for killing Sunnis.

Hacking off the heads of prisoners and posting the video online doesn't warrant a terrorist label these days either I see.

"Iraq is the front defence line for Islam and Muslims, so don't fail to follow the path of the mujahidin (holy warriors), the caravan of martyrs and the faithful," said Abdullah bin Rashid al-Baghdadi, the head of the Mujahidin Shura Council.

He vowed: "As for you the slaves of the Cross (coalition forces), the grandsons of Ibn al-Alqami (Shiites) and every infidel of the Sunnis, we can't wait to sever your necks with our swords."

This misunderstanding couldn't have anything to do with verse 47:04 of the Koran, "Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks" could it?
