There has been much wailing and gnashing of teeth for the past few years from the "progressive" community in the US about the threat that George Bush's faith posed to America.
"I am a devout Christian. I have been a member of the same church for 20 years. I pray to Jesus every night," he declared at an earlier appearance in the rural southern Ohio town of Nelsonville.
So who said that? Well, it wasn't Dubya, nor even Mitt Romney, about whom there was also much consternation. Nope, those words come from the mouth of Barack Obama.
So where's the outrage on the Left that such a devout Christian will have his finger on the button if elected to the White House? Where's the panic that he's going to create some kind of Christian fundamentalist theocracy? Anyone?
The word "hypocrisy" comes to mind.
