Mahmoud Abbas’s official Palestinian Authority daily newspaper has honored the killer of the eight high school students gunned down this week with the status of Shahid - Holy Islamic Martyr. In so doing, the PA is sending its people a straightforward message of support for the terror murders and the murderer. According to the PA interpretation of Islam, there is no higher status that a human being can achieve today than that of Shahid.
Let me repeat that- the PA is praising a scumbag who murdered innocent people, most of them teenagers, in cold blood. As the linked article at LGF points out Congress has mandated that no US funds show go to any group which advocates terrorism- meaning that the PA shouldn't receive any more of the US taxpayer's money.
The chances of the PA not getting American cash are slim though, as the current administration and the State Dept. labours under the notion that they can "do business" with this particular brand of genocidal terrorist because they claim to be moderate.
Telling that there isn't a single Palestinian group that genuinely wants to make peace with their Jewish neighbours, isn't it?
Note too that the supposedly more secular PA praises this mass-murderer in purely religious language.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on Saturday for talks with Israel despite a surge of violence and said that a just peace was his people’s goal.
“We condemn all the attacks, we demand peace and we are determined to make peace, and there is no other path but the path of peace based on international justice,” Abbas told a rally at his headquarters.
